Today I would like you to learn something about the contemporary situations in which the homosexual couples in the United States are put. They have even begun to have their own babies. But that can be another cause of problem when things turn sour between the couple.
In Japan, we tend to (or prefer to) ignore the problem of the homosexual couples as not being ours. But is that really so ?

First, I will give you an article of the Time Magazine on a lesbian couple case, who have broken up and are now fighting against the former partners for the right of the custody of their baby. You can have a feel of the problems the American homosexual couples are now facing by reading it.

In the second part of my practice I would like all of you to discuss what you think about the homosexual couples.
How would you react if your family members, intimate friends, or colleagues in the workplace came out as gays or lesbians ?
Are you ready to accept the fact that there do are homosexuals in your neighbors ?
