皆様、あけましておめでとうございます。Akaoです。
今年もどうぞよろしくお願いします。
遅くなりまして申し訳ございませんが、昨年12月号のニュースレターをお届けします。

　新年あけましておめでとうございます。お正月は皆様どのように過ごされましたか？
私は、厄逃れのため神社やお寺を奔走していました！
さて、仲間うちで話していたらお正月に食べるお雑煮が地方によって全く違うことを発見しました。
関西は圧倒的に白味噌が多いようです。京都の我が家はなぜかしょうゆベースですが。
香川はあんこ入りのもちを入れる！福岡はぶりなどたくさんの具を入れる！仙台では大根を千切りにして入れる！などなど違うようです。
お正月には、お茶に梅干を入れるのは京都あたりだけの風習ということが最近わかりました。
　　1月12日は新年会です。皆様に久しぶりにお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

Description :
You're supposed to read one of the articles in
Time magazine and translate it into Japanese,paragraph by paragraph.
Everyone can help each other.
And you can exchange opinions about the article if you like.

Genre: Composition.

Title: Current English excerpted from the Asahi Shinbun

Description:
The class is divided to several groups composed of four people.
Current English expressions and words (about 20 examples) are
excerpted from the Asahi Shinbun "Tips on English" column,
and printed materials are distributed.
Taking in the example expression and key words,
compose your original writing hopefully full of humors and jokes.
Then, in the group, discuss and select one writing for each example expression,
shape them up, and finally present some of them orally in front of the class.
This is the working process of the day.

An example: "live from paycheck to paycheck" ”Many families live from paycheck to paycheck,
juggling rent or a mortgage payment.” (To live from hand to mouth).

What kind of area?

Description:
You will play superstitions game in your group.
Although the superstitions in the game are from American or Europe,
you will find some of them are similar to Japan.
After you play, talk about superstitions. Which ones do you believe in?
Do you know other superstitions?

Description:

Catching a recent spiritual boom,
in this practice you will have a group talk about people's characters based on astrology.
I prepare some adjectives to describe the characteristics of each sign in astrology.
Check your and your group member's signs and talk about it.
You may be able to know the hidden characters in you or your group members!!!
