Hi, there!
This is the announcement of the practice on September 5th, 2015.
Genre: Talk
Title: Talk based on five-line essay method
Have you heard of five-line essays[1]?
Five-line essays are an easy way to say something persuasively.
Literally they consist of five sentences.
Let me show you an example:
1: I believe five-line essays are good for your English.
2: First of all, they give you a basic template of how to think in English.
3: It also makes you sound more logical and understandable.
4: The format is very simple so that anyone can learn in no time.
5: So what are you waiting for? Let's practice five-line essays!
As you can see, in the first sentence,
you just state what you want to say, the conclusion.
Then, in the following three sentences (2 to 4), you will give
evidence, examples, or anything that support your claim.
The last line is a repetition of the first sentence;
you can simply restate the conclusion or rephrase it as you like.
That's all for now.
See you soon.
Cheers!
