*Life in overseas!! -How different are the peole in overseas to Japanese-

Living in overseas is always a great opportunity. There must be lots of excitements and challenges that you can find in that country. Trying the local cuisine, experience the nature and the traditional events are very different from Japan. However, some people might face a problem with communicating or understanding their culture value. It has been often said that Japanese are not confident enough in speaking English. Therefore, local people get the impression that 'Japanese are shy'. Is this true? Some of you might argue in this statement.

In this topic, I would like you all to discuss how different are the people in overseas to Japanese, based on your stay in overseas or having foreign friends. It could also be from your other experiments too. Think of their attitude towards you, how did you try to communicate with them, how was their reaction and what made you better or worse by having different cultural backgrounds etc.
